General

Carlos Marina House is a 5-minute walk from one of Watamu’s finest beaches. The house has 3 independent rooms with bath and shower. A large shared terrace will allow you to relax while admiring the spectacular African sunset.

Carlos Marina House is a two story house. The double rooms are totally independent and all have private bathrooms, shavers, mosquito nets, bed linen and towels (the change is done every 3 days). Daily cleaning service.

Upon your arrival you will be welcomed by the Marina and Carlos owners who live in the same house. The terrace is shared with other guests. The property is guarded from 18:00 to 08:00. The owners will always be available to provide guests with any suggestions or tips for your stay. Safari, guided tours and excursions can be organized by Carlos, an experienced local guide.

Sports & nature

The Malindi marine national park is both a fun and educational place to visit because you get to enjoy a variety of sea life including colourful fish and turtles. Adults as well as children can feel as one with the fish through sports such as glass boat rides and scuba diving.  Also available is the Arabuko Sokoke forest reserve which harbours over 200 bird species. If you are one to enjoy tradition and culture, close to the forest you find the Gede ruins and museum where you get to learn about the ancient Swahili town and the various antique art, design and furniture. Present also, are historical monuments such as the Vasco da Gamma pillar and Portuguese chapel.
