Sports & nature

The Malindi marine national park is both a fun and educational place to visit because you get to enjoy a variety of sea life including colourful fish and turtles. Adults as well as children can feel as one with the fish through sports such as glass boat rides and scuba diving.  Also available is the Arabuko Sokoke forest reserve which harbours over 200 bird species. If you are one to enjoy tradition and culture, close to the forest you find the Gede ruins and museum where you get to learn about the ancient Swahili town and the various antique art, design and furniture. Present also, are historical monuments such as the Vasco da Gamma pillar and Portuguese chapel.
